Louise Wood

Inspired by a lifelong love and appreciation of the countryside and the wildlife within it, Leicester based collage artist Louise Wood, uses layers of torn and cut scraps of paper to reveal the grace and beauty of her subject. Her sensitive artwork explores birds, plants and still life with detailed and intricate consideration for line, texture and colour within each composition.

‘I hope that through my artwork I can convey the incredible beauty and vulnerability of our natural world and the creatures we share it with’ comments Louise.

I was lucky enough to find myself at Fosse House Gallery a few weeks ago. The knowledgeable and friendly owner Shenac, has a wonderful eye and her creative space was packed full of delightful art and gifts. I couldn’t resist leaving without several packets of her delightful signature ‘bee’ cards. I will definitely be back.

Just to say a very big thank you for the excellent framing of our picture, and for all the helpful suggestions and ideas, and good advice – we really love the result! It looks like a totally new picture, it seems to have brought it to life. We will be back.

You have done a great job of framing our Dior vintage poster – after many years we are now about to enjoy it! Excellent Jonny!! Lovely gallery, we wish you every success.

Just had 2 pictures framed of my artwork and am SO pleased with how professional they now look! Jonny was so helpful and took time helping me choose the right frame & knew exactly what I wanted. I’m a novice at this, but Jonny made me feel not only great for such a good job he made on framing my work, but gave my confidence a bit of a boost! Definitely bringing my artwork here again. Thanks Jonny! See you soon! Give Sox a cuddle from me.

Thanks for doing such a great job with the Hockney print. It’s now hanging in the hall for all to see and looks fabulous.
