metal artist & jeweller
Anthea Yeo
Anthea has been a metal artist since training at Plymouth College of Art & Design in 1994. Although her training was primarily using silver, she soon developed a love of working with copper and it’s varying colours. This, combined with a passion for recycling allows her to make unique and bespoke pieces of jewellery and small sculptures.
To enable her to preserve the natural colours of the materials that she works with, she uses a range of methods to join layers of metal, without the use of heat, and enjoys the challenge that this can bring when making and designing a piece.
She finds inspiration from found objects, often hoarding them for years, until the time is right to recreate them into something new and extraordinary.
