Moulding

At Fosse House Gallery we offer a fully bespoke picture framing service with a wide range of wooden and aluminium mouldings, in a variety of colours, finishes and profiles, from top of the range Italian wooden picture frames, to a value range of mouldings and lots in between. We also offer canvas stretching, before framing in a frame, tray frame or leaving bare. Treasured memorabilia from shirts to 3D objects to needlework are all carefully framed to protect your most important memories. All framing is undertaken in our dedicated workshop located at the rear of the gallery here in historic Dunchurch.

Hand finishing

When you require that special finish to a frame, we are able to use a variety of different types of wooden mouldings such as oak, ash, beech, tulip, lime and obeche to achieve a more bespoke frame by hand finishing using a variety of techniques, from staining, waxing to painting. At Fosse House Gallery we also offer a selection of hand finished ornate and authentic swept frames, including Victorian, Regency, Neo Classical and Art Deco, made to any size, any finish, which can be painted any colour from Farrow and Ball’s ‘Elephant Breath’ to a fabulous gold leaf finish.

Mounts

We are dedicated to creating the best possible solution for all your framing requirements. At Fosse House Gallery we only use acid free mount board which will not damage your artwork as it is pH neutral, along with an acid free board behind your artwork, providing protection front and back. The mount can be treated as a bevelled mount, float or raised float mount, multi aperture, double and single mounts. On a practical level the mount around the image positions, protects and keeps the glass away from the artwork, on an artistic level it leads the eye into the picture within the frame. To create a clean flattened look to creased, wrinkled or slightly damaged pictures, we are able to dry mount artwork flat onto a board before framing.

Glass

The wide range of glass, frames, finishes, mount board and the service we provide is matched by our on-going commitment to quality. We offer a full range of glazing options, from standard float glass to anti-reflective and UV protecting glass to high-end museum quality, even acrylic when safety or weight are an important factor in your framing requirements. Specialist clarity glass offers excellent UV protection with anti-reflective properties, making it ideal for preserving original artwork, limited edition prints or those precious pictures which mean so much.

I was lucky enough to find myself at Fosse House Gallery a few weeks ago. The knowledgeable and friendly owner Shenac, has a wonderful eye and her creative space was packed full of delightful art and gifts. I couldn’t resist leaving without several packets of her delightful signature ‘bee’ cards. I will definitely be back.

Just had 2 pictures framed of my artwork and am SO pleased with how professional they now look! Jonny was so helpful and took time helping me choose the right frame & knew exactly what I wanted. I’m a novice at this, but Jonny made me feel not only great for such a good job he made on framing my work, but gave my confidence a bit of a boost! Definitely bringing my artwork here again. Thanks Jonny! See you soon! Give Sox a cuddle from me.
